Debbie Prediger: Activating Leaders to Become Trusted Voices Through SHINE Leadership Advantage

Leadership does not always begin with a title, a position or a formal declaration of authority. Sometimes, it begins with recognizing something within yourself that has been there all along.

For Debbie Prediger, founder of SHINE Leadership Advantage and the Be Extraordinary Women’s Network, leadership is not something that needs to be created from scratch. It is something that can be activated.

A leadership strategist, mentor, international speaker, bestselling author and community builder, Debbie has built her professional journey across seemingly different worlds including nursing, technology, photography, entrepreneurship, holistic wellness, mentorship and leadership development.

Today, she brings those experiences together to help leaders develop the clarity, confidence and courage to trust what they carry, communicate it effectively and take meaningful action.

At the centre of her philosophy is a simple statement:

“I do not create leaders. I activate them.”

A Career Built Across Different Worlds

Debbie's professional journey did not follow a conventional straight line.

Her experience in nursing taught her to listen beyond the words being spoken. Entrepreneurship developed her adaptability, courage and sense of personal responsibility. Photography taught her the importance of helping people feel truly seen, while her work in holistic wellness deepened her understanding of healing, intuition, unconscious patterns and the nervous system.

She is also a fifth-generation FarmHER, bringing with her an early understanding of resilience, responsibility and finding a way forward.

For years, these experiences appeared to belong to different chapters of her life. Over time, Debbie began to recognise the connection between them.

Each chapter had developed a different ability that she could eventually bring into leadership development.

That realisation became an important part of how she approaches her work today. Rather than seeing a person's professional history as a collection of unrelated experiences, she helps leaders identify the patterns, strengths and experiences that have been preparing them for the work they are now called to do.

Why SHINE Leadership Advantage Was Created

SHINE Leadership Advantage did not emerge from a single defining moment. Debbie describes it as the result of noticing a recurring pattern among capable and experienced people.

She repeatedly encountered individuals with deep knowledge, strong ideas and a genuine desire to contribute, yet many struggled to recognize their own authority.

They were waiting until they felt ready. They were waiting for permission. Or they were trying to fit their work into someone else's definition of leadership.

Debbie saw something different.

She believed their leadership was already present. What they needed was the right environment, questions, relationships, experiences and opportunities to activate it.

This became the foundation of SHINE Leadership Advantage.

The purpose was not simply to teach leadership concepts. It was to help people connect where they have been with where they are going, align their mission and message, and develop the courage to lead from that understanding.

From Knowledge to Embodied Leadership

One of the gaps Debbie identified was the difference between learning about leadership and actually experiencing oneself as a leader.

She refers to many of the people she serves as “wisdom keepers”. They have gathered knowledge, insight and lived experience through their careers and personal journeys. They carry something valuable, but may still hesitate to trust it, express it or make themselves fully visible.

Many have already invested in courses, programs and professional development.

What they often need next is a trusted environment in which to practise.

For Debbie, practice is where leadership becomes embodied.

It is the point at which leadership moves beyond intellectual understanding and becomes something a person can experience, test and trust through action.

That can involve facilitating conversations, clarifying ideas, speaking about what they believe, testing offers, accepting speaking opportunities or seeing how others respond to the transformation they create.

It also requires community.

Leaders need people who can encourage them, challenge their assumptions and reflect strengths back to them that they may not yet recognize themselves.

This process allows confidence to develop through experience rather than simply through theory.

Building a Leadership Ecosystem Through SHINE

SHINE Leadership Advantage is structured as a connected leadership ecosystem rather than a single program.

The journey begins with two free communities.

The SHINE Leadership Advantage community is designed for purpose-driven women and men exploring leadership, visibility, collaboration and what it means to become a trusted voice.

The Be Extraordinary Women’s Network is a women-only community focused on relationships, belonging and celebrating the work, wisdom and missions of extraordinary women.

Beyond the communities, SHINE offers four primary pathways.

SHINE Circle: Belong

SHINE Circle is the ongoing membership and leadership home within the ecosystem.

Members receive mentorship, leadership conversations, roundtables, meaningful relationships and continued support.

The emphasis is on belonging and proximity, giving members a space to explore ideas, ask questions, receive guidance and continue taking aligned action alongside people who understand their journey.

IGNITE: Activate

IGNITE is designed for leaders who know there is more ahead but feel that fear, unconscious patterns or long-held beliefs may be preventing them from moving forward.

The experience focuses on identifying what is happening beneath hesitation, reconnecting with inner guidance and addressing the barriers that may be preventing courageous action.

The goal is to help participants move from knowing what they want to trusting themselves enough to act on it.

SHINE Mentor Program: Become

The SHINE Mentor Program is for leaders who have an offer, body of experience or area of expertise they are ready to strengthen and become known for.

The program focuses on clarifying the transformation they create, refining their offers and communicating their work in ways people can understand and trust.

Participants also practise teaching, mentoring, facilitating conversations and speaking while receiving feedback within a trusted environment.

The program brings together four key elements: practice, proximity, platform and positioning.

Leadership Momentum Accelerator: Expand and Be Known

The Leadership Momentum Accelerator, or LMA, is the high-touch leadership and business expansion experience within the SHINE ecosystem.

It is designed for established leaders, leaders of leaders and community builders who already have offers, clients, results, experience or an existing body of work.

At this stage, the challenge may not be a lack of capability, but a lack of alignment between the leader they have become and how their work is currently positioned.

LMA focuses on bringing identity, mission, message, offers and leadership into alignment while strengthening authority, credibility and positioning.

The program also supports expansion through speaking opportunities, strategic relationships, partnerships and aligned collaborations.

Where the SHINE Mentor Program helps a leader become known for a specific offer, message or transformation, LMA focuses on connecting and positioning the larger body of work an established leader has already built.

Learning to Put Vision Before Opportunity

Building a business around people, relationships and possibilities brings its own challenges.

For Debbie, one of the biggest lessons has been understanding that not every good opportunity is necessarily the right opportunity.

As a visionary and connector, she naturally sees how people, ideas and opportunities can fit together. Earlier in her journey, that could lead to saying yes before there was enough clarity around alignment, roles, reciprocity or capacity.

The lesson was to put vision before opportunity.

Another challenge was bringing years of communities, programs, partnerships and experiences under one clear identity.

Although those initiatives were connected, Debbie had not yet articulated the common purpose running through them.

Naming that common thread changed the business:

Activating leaders to become trusted voices.

That clarity helped transform a collection of connected initiatives into a unified leadership ecosystem.

Debbie also learned that collaboration requires more than shared enthusiasm. Clear roles, mutual contribution, honest expectations and the capacity to follow through are equally important.

Those lessons have shaped how SHINE evaluates new opportunities today.

When the Pieces Came Together

The biggest turning point for SHINE Leadership Advantage came when Debbie recognized the thread connecting her experiences, gifts and work.

The communities, mentorship, leadership development, speaking opportunities and collaborations were not separate ideas. They were different ways of supporting the same transformation.

The change became visible through the experiences of the people SHINE served.

Participants began writing books, refining services, initiating corporate conversations, creating collaborations, accepting speaking opportunities and making decisions they had previously delayed.

Another important development was the creation of the Trusted Voices Stage, in collaboration with Global Speakers Talk.

The platform gave SHINE an opportunity to elevate aligned leaders while demonstrating publicly the trust placed in the voices the organization recommends.

For Debbie, this was evidence that SHINE was becoming more than a collection of programs.

It was becoming a place where leaders could rise, practise, contribute and eventually help create opportunities for others.

The Vision for SHINE's Next Five Years

Debbie sees SHINE Leadership Advantage growing into a globally recognized and carefully curated leadership community.

Over the next five years, she plans to strengthen the systems, financial foundation and brand recognition required to expand the ecosystem internationally.

Her own role is expected to evolve alongside that growth.

Rather than remaining deeply involved in execution, she intends to spend more time as a thought leader, connector, visionary and strategic partnership builder.

A significant part of the future vision is developing stronger internal leadership.

As people move through SHINE, those who embody the values and earn the trust of the community can take on greater responsibility as program leaders, project managers, facilitators, mentors and strategic collaborators.

Debbie also envisions in-person gatherings, leadership experiences and retreats facilitated by SHINE's leaders and mentors, along with the possibility of a future SHINE certification pathway that would allow qualified leaders to carry the framework into their own communities and organizations.

Speaking is another major part of the growth strategy.

Debbie has already partnered with a speaking academy to develop a mastermind for established professionals who want to use speaking strategically to build authority, create meaningful relationships and grow within their niche.

Over time, she sees this developing into a curated speaking and mentorship pathway that helps SHINE leaders access paid speaking opportunities in organizations, conferences and leadership spaces internationally.

The organization also plans to strengthen relationships with media companies, corporations, established brands, conference organizers and event producers.

The objective is to build a trusted ecosystem where organizations can find aligned speakers and facilitators, while SHINE leaders gain credible opportunities to be seen, heard and recognized for the transformations they create.

Conclusion

Debbie Prediger's journey is ultimately about connecting experience with purpose.

Across nursing, entrepreneurship, technology, photography, wellness, mentorship and leadership development, she has accumulated different perspectives on how people grow, lead and contribute.

SHINE Leadership Advantage brings those perspectives together into a leadership ecosystem built around one central idea: people often do not need to become someone else to lead. They need the clarity, relationships, practice and courage to trust the leadership already within them.

From its communities and mentorship programs to the Trusted Voices Stage and its growing network of partnerships, SHINE is building an environment where leaders can practise, contribute and become known for what they genuinely bring to the world.

For Debbie, the future is not simply about growing a company. It is about creating a trusted ecosystem where more leaders can find their voice, step into responsibility and open the way for others.

Because when leaders learn to trust what they carry, they can become the trusted voices others are looking for.
