A fine of 50,000 SAR (Saudi riyals) and 3 months in prison for a Saudi employer that will allow Expat workers to work for his personal benefit or for personal work.

Jawazat has confirmed that any Saudi employer who allows his evicted workers to do business for their own benefit or for the amount of money will be fined SAR 50,000 (Saudi reality) with a 3-month prison sentence.

First time:

Any employer in Saudi Arabia, if they did this for the first time or violated this rule for the first time, will be imprisoned for a month and will be fined 5,000 SAR (Saudi reality)

Second time:

Any employer in Saudi Arabia, if they have done so a second time or violated this rule for the first time, will be sentenced to 2 months in prison and will be fined 20,000 SAR (Saudi reality)

Third time:

Any employer in Saudi Arabia, if they did this a second time or violated this rule for the first time, will be imprisoned for 3 months and will be fined SAR 50,000 (Saudi reality)

This fine will be multiplied by the number of workers the employer has allowed to be employed for their own benefit under Saudi labor law

Jawazat in Saudi Arabia also said there would be a ban on Saudi employers if they hire employees for less than a year in case they allow workers to self-employ.

If this is repeated, the ban will be increased to 2 years and 3 years for the second and third time.
